Robert has more than 25 year experience in Occupational Health and Safety, Loss Control, Risk Management within the public entity setting. He is committed to providing a safe and healthful workplace for all employees, citizens and visitors of St. Joseph County.
Robert's area of responsibilities include:
Compliance with all State and Federal regulations relating to Occupational health and DOT.
Insurance of training for all employees and management as related to Occupational health and Risk Management.
Examines, designs and implements alternatives risk management and mitigation techniques, strategies, and measures.
Monitors the effectiveness of techniques and makes changes as requires through departmental KIP’S.
Serves as a liaison with applicable internal and external departments as related to Occupational Health and Safety, Risk Management and Workers Compensation prevention techniques.
Oversee the Counties self-insurance program.
Interprets laws, policies and procedures to ensure the County Risk Management programs are in compliance.
Builds County wide support and visibility for Risk Management and loss control programs and Loss Control programs and initiatives obtain stakeholders buy-in on program goals and objectives.
Conducts periodic risk prevention audits of the County Departments assets and oversees inspection performed by outside agencies.
Participates in disaster recovery and prevent for St. Joseph County.
