Cross Country Skiing at St. Patrick’s

St. Patrick’s County Park takes on a special beauty during winter. Enjoy the winter scenery while skiing over 6 miles of trails.

Program Details

  • Wednesday through Sunday and holidays.
  • December 26 through March 10, (snow conditions permitting).
  • 10am to 4pm, all equipment is due in by 5pm (additional fee applies for late return).
  • Gate fee plus $5 adult daily trail fee, $4 youth daily trail fee, ages 15 and under.
  • Annual trail passes available for purchase, $20/adult, or $15/youth. Annual ski trail passes are honored at our neighboring park, Madeline Bertrand. Regular gate fee in effect.
  • $10 ski rental available, includes skis, boots, and poles. Boots sizes range from 11 youth to 15 men. Parental signature required for renters aged 16 and under.
  • Location: St. Patrick's County Park, Red Barn.

  • Ski trails are groomed throughout the week.
  • Cross-country ski rental opens, and grooming begins when there is at least 4-6 inches of dense snow and a consistent freezing temperature. This allows for a good trail base to form and helps trails to remain frozen after grooming.

Click and Go! Cross-Country Ski Lessons

Is your goal learning how to ski with those weird sticks strapped on your feet? Receive a quick “Click and Go!” lesson on the basics of skiing and hit the trails. Please arrive by 2:45 pm to get your equipment.

Click & GO! 

  • Receive a quick “Click and Go!” group lesson on the basics of skiing and hit the trails.
  • Classes available every Friday, Jan. 6th - Feb. 24, snow conditions permitting.
  • Time: 3-5pm, please arrive 2:45 pm to get your equipment. Registration not required. 
  • Fee: $15/person, includes equipment or $5/with own equipment
  • Location: St. Patrick's County Park, Red Barn

Private Lessons

  • Book a private lesson to learn the basics of how-to cross-country ski. 
  • Lessons available Jan. 3 - Feb. 25, snow conditions permitting
  • Fee: $20/person, includes rental
