Public Outreach
The County hosted three in-person public meetings, and one virtual public meeting to present the ordinances and solicit public comment. The public comment period on these draft ordinances ended on February 18th. Comments were collected at the public meetings as well as online and via email.
Three new ordinances are proposed for adoption :
- Draft Abandoned Vehicles Ordinance with changes from the public comment period
- Draft Public Nuisance Ordinance with changes from the public comment period
- Draft Weed and Rank Vegetation Ordinance with changes from the public comment period
An outline of the major changes to the ordinances as a direct result of the public comment period and public meetings will be provided to the County Council. The County Council will then hold a final Public Hearing on these ordinances at their Tuesday, March 8, 2022 meeting.
